Meghann Fahy’s has just traded her cool-girl lengths a short, sharp bob.
Meghann Fahy’s waves have long been her signature. From The White Lotus to The Bold Type and Sirens, she’s played some very different characters, but that tumbling mane has been a constant. But the actor just traded her cool-girl lengths for something arguably more polished: a short, sharp bob.
Stepping out for a screening of The Good Daughter and an awards presentation at the 29th SCAD Savannah Film Festival over the weekend, where she received the spotlight in Television Award, Fahy debuted a neck-grazing, blunt bob, complete with balayage and a subtle root smudge—an autumnal update on her signature beachy blonde.
The transformation hasn’t happened overnight; Fahy has been inching towards a shorter style for a little while now, having recently been spotted at the Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon with a shoulder-length chop. Now, she has taken things a step further.
To show off the ’90s-inspired cut, which she wore with a center parting, Fahy opted for a black off-the-shoulder minidress, keeping her makeup understated: just a swipe of coral blush and a matching satin lip. What gives Fahy’s bob its edge is the length and precision of the cut. To recreate the look, ask your hairstylist for a blunt, one-length bob with no layers, cut to skim the base of your neck.
